These are pictures I take on walks around Portland (usually SE). This has something to do with curiosity, loss, change, and the feeling you get when you come across a newly constructed building and ask yourself, "What used to be here?" even though you walked past it every day.

Of course it's gone now. Plans are for a mixed use four story building. It may be an improvement on the church building, and will result on a wider sidewalk on Hawthorne and on 20th.
